This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are energetic, curious learners who are fascinated by how life works. They come from a range of cultural and economic backgrounds and attend a high school where resources are stretched thin.

This project will provide high-quality dissection kits for my biology students, that allow them to explore anatomy and body systems in a meaningful, tactile way.

Dissection is a cornerstone of high school biology because it transforms abstract textbook diagrams into real-life learning. It builds observation skills, introduces proper lab procedures, and deepens understanding of how systems work together inside living organisms.

Currently, we do not have enough supplies for each student to participate fully, and many of our tools are outdated or shared between large groups, which limits the learning experience. These dissection kits will ensure students have the proper tools to work safely and learn thoroughly.
