Help me give my students a bigger classroom library filled with culture, history, and language. These books provide me and my students opportunities to deepen the connection between culture and world language.

My Students
Guten Tag! As a German teacher, I am always looking to bring current and interesting material to my students about culture and language. My students are exposed to German from 1st-6th grade in hopes that they continue the language in middle and high school. I continue their exposure to culture and language at an intermediate school that has 5th-6th grade.
My school is a Title I school and the closest most of my students will be to Germany is through books and pictures.
I want them to experience as much as they can to not only build interest in the language but also to have a greater understanding of international culture. My students are enthusiastic and curious about many parts of German culture and love seeking out new information. I want to be able to provide them with information with a vibrant and expansive classroom library.
My Project
As a world language teacher, I aim to inspire my young students to continue on with their language learning through a deep connection between culture and language. It is key to show my students the impressive cultures of the world. Books and materials are the best tools that I can provide to my students. By having different topics and aspects of culture, I can address my students various reading levels and interests.
Culture is a major part of creating student interest in German.
However, culture is bigger than this course, which is why there is a mixture of German culture books and world geography. These resources will all help to paint a picture of the definition and vastness of culture. In order to continue student interest in culture and language, I want students to be able to explore the world through books filled with rich information and images.
