Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from Washington, Tacoma. They are thoughtful and very creative. My students like to ask a lot of questions as well as learn about other cultures. My students love arts and crafts. My students are very hands-on and learn the most when doing activities. They enjoy doing activities that involve using art supplies such as color markers, paint, construction paper, and cool texture boards. Not only do they enjoy art, but they also love science! They love doing investigations that are hands on.
My Project
My 5th graders and I are in the old computer lab. Since it was a computer lab, there is no lower storage at all! There is also no space for my students to place their supplies. We also have tables so there is no space for my students to store their personal supplies, therefore right now our room is very cluttered with all of their supplies under the table. This makes it difficult for the room to stay clean. This also creates a safety hazards because it causes students and myself to trip on supplies on accident. We would love to present accidents from happening.
