My Students
My students are incredibly bright and eager to learn! Since starting 3rd grade in the fall, they have grown so much and are excited to keep learning to go home. Since we have moved to at-home learning, my students and their families are looking for more engagement opportunities.
My students are based in Philadelphia, PA, and have shown they have such a strong desire to learn more and more.
In school, they take great pride in their work and look for challenges to keep their brains growing. We do have so many different levels in our classroom. I have an ESL friendly classroom, so our reading ranges from PreK to fifth grade.
My Project
This Cricut Machine will allow teachers to create new and engaging materials for their classrooms. The machine offers so machine ways to create items from many different types of materials. My request is for a Cricut machine to use in my classroom for several purposes. The Cricut can be used to create individualized flash cards, writing prompts, bulletin boards and creative extension projects. I would use the cartridge to print alphabet letters in a variety of sizes and materials. I would also create images to match to letters by beginning, middle, or ending sounds. These letters and pictures would be used by my beginning readers for hands-on literacy games and activities.
This machine and the accessories will benefit many students, for so many years.
The press on Iron will be used for materials and shirts, the weed tool for lifting the materials that are made from the mat and the mat for the materials to be carefully cut out. Using the Cricut machine will allow my students to increase more self-confidence through the work the teacher designs. By funding this project you are allowing me to put more time into teaching and less time into prepping.
You are helping me to provide my students with hands-on learning. Thanks in advance for considering my project.
