A Creative Touch

Help me give my students a special tool that allows for a creative touch to be added to our classroom.

My Students

My students consists of nearly 95% of scholars who are reading below grade level. Many of my students come from homes in which the parents are uneducated themselves.

Our school is a Title I school that offers free and reduced-price lunches to nearly 100% of our students.

School lunch is the only meal many of our students receive during the day. Our school is in a critical state. We are a part of the lowest schools in terms of reading proficiency.

My Project

Teachers take on many roles that the average person would never think of that go beyond delivering instruction in the classroom. We are given very little funds and supplies and are expected to create a classroom full of materials on the walls for students to use. We are also expected to also create monthly themed or holiday related bulletin boards. This can become expensive and time consuming. To avoid spending personal funds, we must be creative and create our own materials from paper or other recycled materials.

Doing fun, creative projects is an exciting part of school.

Many times, students don’t get to experience creativeness in school because there are so many expectations that they are expected to meet. Let’s keep creativeness in school. Many students discover they have talents just by trying something new in school. The Cricut Maker is an awesome machine that allows you to create many awesome projects for students, classroom materials, bulletin boards figures, holiday materials, and many additional things. Help me keep creativeness in my classroom with this awesome tool.
