My Project
The classroom rug is really the center of a Kindergarten classroom. Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. This rug will be new, bright, and inviting. It will replace a nearly 10 year old rug that has seen better days.
Carpet time supports Kindergartners' academic and social-emotional skills.
Students will begin the day with Community Circle, engage in learning lessons throughout the day, and end the day with Closing Circle while on the rug. This rug will help students in finding their own space, assist with daily routines, and will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students. This rug will be a happy and safe place for my students, and help build a classroom community excited to learn.
