My Project
With these books' students will be able to choose independent books that interest them. Our class was recently formed and is lacking books that are on grade level for students to read. I hope that this is the start of building a love of reading.
The additional seating will be used during direct instruction when students gather on the floor.
Lastly, I want to create a calm corner of the room for when a student needs time to regulate their emotions. This area has specific instructions for a guided break but also provides a comfortable space. The seating can also be used when a student is working independently.
