My Project

I’m so excited to begin my journey as a first-grade teacher! As I prepare my classroom for a brand-new group of eager learners, one essential item I’m missing is a large, comfortable rug where we can gather for morning meetings, read-alouds, and direct instruction.

A classroom rug is more than just a place to sit but it’s a community space where we build relationships, learn together, and set the tone for the day.

In first grade, students spend a lot of time on the floor for mini-lessons, sharing ideas, and collaborative learning. Having a soft and welcoming spot to sit will help my students feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn.

This rug will help create a warm and organized environment that supports student engagement and classroom management. The students also need communication folders.

With your support, I can give my students a cozy space to grow academically and socially. Thank you for helping me create a classroom that feels like home!
