This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Carpets are an important part of keeping classrooms quiet and safe for young learners. Soft flooring reduces the noise levels in the classroom. A carpet can absorb some of the classroom noise, creating a quieter learning environment.
"Flooring is the foundation of any beautiful room, if you start with a great carpet, the rest will fall into place.
Carpets in schools improve safety. A carpet provides traction which helps prevent slips and falls. If a fall does occur, the chances of injury are greatly reduced on the soft flooring.
This carpet will provide a comfy and cozy place in our dramatic play area. This carpet will create the look of a "real" home to this specific play center. This carpet will allow students to pretend to be performing household tasks such as vacuuming, or washing and sweeping the floors. This carpet will be a beautiful and soothing addition to our dramatic play center.
