My Project
Books hold an important place in lives of children and in my classroom! By just opening a new book that has sparked the interest of a child, a fire of imagination, curiosity, and excitement awakens within them. Reading boosts academic skills, helps student gain a love for learning and literature, and can transport them to places they have never been by just using their imagination as they read their new text. My project is directed toward enhancing and enriching our classroom library and classroom seating options by adding new texts for students to enjoy and versatile, flexible seating choices. By adding these different seating choices, students will be able to enjoy the comfort of our classroom while they enjoy reading. Providing options and choices to my students allows them to take part in their educational journey and gain ownership of their own reading time. By providing new, up to date texts, students will be more engaged and on task during their independent reading time. Students will be more likely to chose reading when they have free choice time if we have new engaging texts. Books are essential tools for education, providing knowledge, fostering critical thinking, and opening doors to opportunities. Your support will provide me with the resources needed to empower students to explore, learn and build a brighter future. My students love reading and especially love getting new books for us to all enjoy. Through your generosity, my students will be able to grow academically, personally, but most importantly, develop a deeper love for reading.
