Help me give my students a communal place on the floor for team meetings, yoga, independent work, and more! This rug will brighten my classroom and provide a visual space for students to meet during floor time.
As a special education teacher, I strive to provide a safe space in my classroom where students look forward to coming and feel a part of a classroom community and have a school family. I desire for this to look like class meetings in a close proximity space on the floor where students feel comfortable. I also want to provide a floor option for independent/partner work when they would benefit from flexible seating options instead of working at the traditional desk space. I want to erase the negative stigma that special education classrooms can receive and provide a classroom space that identified students are proud to go to. This rug will help!
