Help me give my students a calming center. Often students arrive to school emotionally dysregulated and have difficulties separating with parents. The Quiet time privacy cube would create an inviting and calming space.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have the pleasure of teaching the youngest learners. Students are ages 2-4 and require much support in social emotional learning as they prepare for kindergarten. Morning separations can be a challenge and a calming area can support building resilience and emotional regulation so that they are both emotionally and cognitively prepared to learn.
When children are upset the calming cube will be a safe comfortable space for students to go with sensory soothing materials such as books, soft plushy items, privacy cubes, pillows, music etc.
. Our students appreciate the opportunity to apply.
