Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my kindergarten classroom, learning doesn't just happen at desks, it happens in every corner, especially on the floor where we gather for stories, songs, and shared discoveries. A classroom rug would provide a warm, welcoming space for my kindergarten students to come together each day. It would help define our learning area, support classroom management with designated seating, and create a sense of community among young learners. For many of my students, school is their first structured environment, and having a comfortable, inviting rug helps make it feel like home. It’s more than just a rug, it is the heart of our classroom.
