My Project
In our kindergarten classroom, the rug is more than just a place to sit—it's where we come together as a community to learn, share, and grow. From morning meetings to story time, small group activities, and creative play, the rug is truly the heart of our room.
Our current rug has served us well, but it is worn and lacks the calming presence that young learners need.
I am requesting a new classroom rug with soothing pastel colors to create a welcoming and peaceful environment. Research shows that calming colors can help reduce anxiety, improve focus, and support emotional well-being—especially important for our youngest learners who are just beginning their educational journey.
This new rug will provide a cozy, organized space for my students to gather, making learning feel safe and structured. It will also support our social-emotional learning goals by offering a space that promotes collaboration and kindness.
