This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from diverse backgrounds. I want to give my students every opportunity to grow creatively and critically. At BCS we want to teach with the best resources. Teachers and students alike benefit from great resources. Students love to be engaged. My students enjoy engaging in after-school clubs that enhance their creative side. My students are open-minded and want to experience education as life-long learners.
My Project
This club will give my students the experience of learning hands-on cosmetology. These cosmetology items will enhance the classroom feel of a true beauty salon. some of the items are manikin heard, rollers, rat tail combs, shears, wig caps, weave needles, roller clips, and educational cosmetology books.
This is a cosmetology club geared for students who are eager to use their talents and perfect a craft that can help them master the skills of cosmetology for a lifetime.
The skills learned in this club will set them up for success in the business industry of cosmetology. Students will learn about the theory of cosmetology as well as the practical.
This club also advances student awareness of a career choice that is both lucrative and rewarding. Students will gain knowledge about the entrepreneurial side of cosmetology while still being able to advance their learning in college.
The funding of this project will not only be rewarding for the students currently attending Brooklyn Collaborative Studies but other incoming students for years to come. Your funding for this project is really appreciated in advance. Thank you for all that you do.
