This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are thoughtful, energetic, and full of big ideas...and big feelings. As they grow academically, they are also learning how to manage their emotions, navigate friendships, and respond to challenges in healthy ways. I want to create a space that supports not just their academic success, but their social and emotional growth too.

A calming corner will give students a safe and supportive space to take a break, reset, and return to learning ready to succeed.

With resources like sensory tools, books, and visual supports, students will have access to the tools they need to self-regulate and cope with stress in the moment.

By donating to this project, you're helping build a classroom environment where students feel seen, heard, and supported. Your generosity will provide comfort, emotional support, and the chance for students to develop lifelong coping strategies.
