My students are silly, kind and love to learn. They are so busy and are always wanting to try new things! Each student comes from such a different background.
Many of my students come to school to feel safe and comfortable.
They love coming in and settling into their desks and starting their morning routine. We are a large family in my first grade class and my students definitely make our environment interesting. Each student adds such excitement to our big, messy family!
My Project
My students are currently sitting on foam tiles. They have already become a large distraction and are coming apart. We do many whole group activities on the carpet. Having a large carpet that my students could sit on would allow them to be comfortable and focus.
This rug would be a fun space to encourage learning!
While on the carpet/rug, we use our SMART board. This board is an interactive board that furthers my student's knowledge. They love to be close to it, rather than sitting in their seats. When in their seats they have trouble seeing our amazing board.
