Our high school Library Media Center is promoting leisure/recreational reading space for students and staff.
The reading corner will provide our wonderful learning community access to flexible seating options. The reading corner proposed will promote a dynamic and transformative approach that has proven to be beneficial for student engagement, collaboration and learning.
I am seeking your support to acquire recreational reading furniture, to encourage free voluntary reading, and pleasure reading,
Leisure reading can take place at any time. Readers may choose from a wide range of extended texts, including fiction, nonfiction, e-books, magazines, social media, biographies, newspapers, comic books, graphic novels, and more. Flexible seating allows students to choose their preferred seating arrangements, empowering them to find the most comfortable and productive setup for their individual learning style. By incorporating flexible setting, I can cater to different learning modalities, such as kinesthetic, visual, and auditory, providing diverse options that accommodate individual needs.
Students spend their leisure time in the library media center, and this comfortable seating arrangements can positively impact their physical well-being, reducing fatigue and promoting better posture.
