My students need a seating area for our library area. We have revamped it to be a more lovely place to read. A new couch would be a welcomed addition to the space.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students work hard in class. They put their best foot forward and are inspired to do better. Their parents value education greatly but are often unable to support learning outside of the school day.
The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow; future doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and software designers.
As a teacher, it is my job to prepare these students for careers that are not in existence yet. By giving my students opportunities in the classroom to grow and succeed, I can see that I am shaping the future of our GREAT nation.
My Project
We just received a new book shelf from DonorsChoose.org, and would like to begin the process of transforming our library area. For now we don't have any seating in the library. Your donations could make our literary oasis a reality.
Reading at a cold hard desk is never fun.
A comfy couch would make reading in our library a special experience for my kids. Sometimes it is just nice to get our of your seat and move to another area of the classroom and enjoy reading a new book. With this project we would be able to flexibly seat around the room during our independent reading time.
