This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A classroom carpet is essential in an elementary classroom! Currently, we have sit spots in our classroom, which have helped everyone have a space to sit but I know students would be much more comfortable having a soft carpet.
This project will provide my students with a new rug to use in our classroom.
With this rug, students will have their own comfortable spot to sit in, providing them with the comfort of their own personal space, while still being surrounded by friends. This rug will be used many times throughout the day, as we sit on the rug for morning meetings, guided reading workshops, math workshops, playtime, and more!
My second graders love learning and growing together!
What better way to learn together than to sit together on the carpet? The carpet is a home inside a classroom, fostering learning and creativity.
