Help me give my students a relaxing and comfortable seat in the calming corner to play away a stressful day, releive their anxiety and recharge their their emotional batteries to finish the day.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The essentials I am requesting will be used to provide a sense of calm for my resource students and all students in the school who need a place to regroup. My current corner needs to be upgraded as it has been utilized and available to all students in my school. My students are sometimes overwhelmed by situations that occur in the classroom or on the yard and just need a space to center their minds.
That 5 minutes of playing legos, reading a book, putting together a puzzle or just resting and fidgeting with a calming toy means the world to my students and our teachers.
Students destress and then return to class. They leave happy, refreshed, and ready to work. I enjoy seeing a happy scholar leave emotionally equipped to finish the day.
