Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title 1 low income school, and we are defining a new post COVID reality. Teen and youth mental health is on the forefront of our social concerns as we learn to navigate this new horizon.

In this low income environment we often need to make use of whatever materials and furniture are available and our kids deserve a place where they feel comfortable to express their needs.

The Faux Leather Accent bench will lend a touch of comfort and professionalism to my office, which will help the students feel valued when they enter. Additionally the storage ottoman allows me access to more comfortable seating while making students feel comfortable, and would allow me the seating to do some small group counseling as well as add a touch of comfort as kids are navigating difficult emotions.

The Tall end side table will allow me more display area to keep a touch of class as well as information and pamphlets etc. to help disseminate information to students I serve.
