A Comfortable Place for Everyone

Help me give my students a soft rug and a pocket chart to provide a comfort and organization in our classroom.

My Students

My students come from varied backgrounds. Some of my students have the opportunity to see the world around them and visit many new and exciting places, while some of my students have not traveled outside of our town. No matter what their background, all of my students love learning, love school, and love each other.

My classroom is filled with future doctors, teachers, lawyers, and world changers.

My students are amazing, and I want to do anything I can to introduce them to more and more!

My Project

A rug is an essential part of 1st grade. We sit on the rug for morning meetings, we sit on the rug for language arts, we sit on the floor for centers, we sit on the rug for math, we play on the rug, we dance on the rug and we sing on the rug. The rug will give us a comfortable and inviting place to sit, learn, and grow while giving us individual space. They will learn to respect others personal space as well as have ownership of their space. This rug will make our class feel warm and inviting. In addition, I included a pocket chart to display vocabulary words among many other things.
