This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class of 25 transitional kindergarten/kindergarten students lives in the heart of Los Angeles! We are located in a small community in the northeast area where everyone is like family. We have a little more than 300 students on campus and enjoy working in our green spaces. My class believes in teamwork and community building. We call ourselves, "The Mighty little Eagles" because we work together and never give up on our goals.
Our class is always ready to work hard and become lifelong learners.
We take on any challenge that comes our way and we would love to have you become part of our team by helping us have a wonderful experience this school year!
My Project
Telling 5 and 6-year-olds to stay at least 6 feet away from their peers is not going to be an easy task. They will be so excited to see each other. So eager to want to play and talk with one another, but the school will have new procedures in place.
I plan to use these resources to provide a clear yet fun way to keep my students in a safe environment.
I hope that if I use these fun resources to line up, to play outside, that it won't feel so unfamiliar. It will be more like a game that we will have to implement for our safety.
