Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year was challenging and also my first year at this school providing Social and Emotional Learning to children. My students are in need of the basic materials of a desk and chairs. Many children after the pandemic developed anxiety, and grief had a tough time returning to school, etc. So, what better way to put a smile on their cute faces than when entering the room with a colorful table and chairs. I want the children to feel comfortable where they can express and share their feelings while learning. Our school community has a population of Spanish-speaking families, therefore the Bilingual books I requested would be very beneficial to the children. The donations to this project will improve a child's social environment and well-being. Thank you!
