This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom includes a diverse group of second and third graders. We meet on the carpet for a large portion of the day for community building, collaboration, and learning. They are a passionate group of learners who love sharing ideas with their peers and would benefit from having clear boundaries for personal space.

This classroom rug, with personal circles, will not only create a colorful meeting space for the students, but will also help improve their focus by helping them respect each other's personal space

Our classroom includes students who struggle with attention, and a rug with personal spaces will support them in maintaining their focus. It will also make it easier for students to be seated strategically for partner collaborations.
