My Students
My students are 7 years old and all able to login to distance learning and complete ther assignments. Most of them lack the basic supplies like crayons, markers, colored pencils, and water color paints. They also lack grade level paper and contruction paper. They are eager learners and have read over 500 books so far this year. I love that even in these terrible times of Covid and isolation, they come to class with smiles and are excited to tell me about their activities at home. I receive emails from some and they are happy to come to class.
My Project
In hybrid, there is no sharing of materials so each child must have their own set. I am currently lacking a supply for each child. Students will use these supplies daily at their seats and keep them for only their own personal daily use.
We will do directed drawings on a weekly basis and at centeractivity time, students will stamp their spelling and high frequency words, and we will use a variety of contruction papeer based holiday projects.
Second graders love to water color their spelling words for practice time.
