My Students
My co-teacher and I are in our second year together in 3rd grade a ICT classroom. We are still refining our classroom technology to ensure that we have all the supplies needed to make learning come alive for our students.
Our students are unique, inquisitive, compassionate, and creative with a variety of academic needs and learning styles.
We try our best to make sure every student has equal opportunities to discover a love of learning. Our students get especially excited when they can explore the classroom, taking time to notice all the materials with which they will embark on their 3rd grade adventures!
My Project
Our class is full of students who love to learn! Many of our students are primarily visual learners. Incorporating a color printer into our classroom would allow us to create visual aids to increase the students' depth of understanding of new material.
The students in our class have many varied learning styles.
Most of these students benefit when new material is presented visually. Visual thinking and learning utilizes graphical ways of working with ideas and presenting information. Research in both educational theory and cognitive psychology tells us that visual presentation of information is an exemplary method for teaching students of all ages. A new color printer would allow us to print images to help students gain a deeper understanding of new material.
