My students are so full of life and love of learning. The population, of our little Title I school in Brooklyn, NY is made up of many different cultures, from all over the world, who work together to help build peace at home, at school and in our community.
They are the peace builders for the future.
They are learning to communicate and collaborate to solve problems and learn. They are learning to have a growth mindset and know that mistake only opens another door towards the solution. They will practice these skills and more as we explore through STEAM activities.
My Project
The concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are very important for the children in their future. They will be able to work in groups to complete tasks. They will learn to communicate better to solve the problems that come up.
The Code-a-Pillar will give Early Childhood students experience with the concept and language of coding.
It will be a great way for my younger students to learn about coding. It gives them a hands on approach to learning.
I'm looking forward to seeing the wide-eyed students take on coding challenges. I'm looking forward to seeing their smiles as they learn to not give up and work through their problems.
