My Project

In our classroom, we're not just teaching academic subjects—we're equipping students with real-world life skills that will support them long after they leave school. This project focuses on helping our students learn the importance of cleanliness, organization, and responsibility by collecting essential cleaning supplies for everyday use.

The items we’re requesting will help our students develop practical cleaning skills that will benefit them not only in the classroom, but also at home, in future workplaces, and in their broader communities.

Learning to clean up after themselves, maintain a tidy environment, and take ownership of their spaces is a crucial part of fostering independence and self-respect.

Our students are exceptional individuals, each with a unique set of abilities and learning styles. All of them have been identified as having a disability, and they participate in a vocational program tailored to meet their diverse needs. This program emphasizes hands-on, real-life learning experiences that promote self-sufficiency, confidence, and readiness for adult life.

By supporting this project, you're helping provide the tools and materials necessary to teach our students how to clean up after messy projects, maintain a clean and safe classroom, and practice these routines at the end of each school day. These aren’t just cleaning supplies—they are stepping stones to life-long habits that will empower our students to take pride in their environments and in themselves.

We aim to create a classroom culture where every student understands that being tidy and organized is not just a chore—it’s a form of self-care and respect for others.
