My Students

My PreK scholars are amazing! The are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.

As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement through a collaborative system of support" (Our School's Mission Statement).

My Project

We are PreK scholars. We love to play, eat, and explore in our room. We clean our classroom, tables, chairs, and materials often. We talk about how to stay healthy and work together to keep our classroom clean.

Clean surfaces and materials are especially important during our long winter months and for my scholars with special health conditions!

I love teaching independence, responsibility, and cleaning skills by including my scholars with clean up; such as spills and wiping down surfaces. We use disinfecting wipes and paper towels regularly. The scholars love helping and "getting all the germs away". We need our scholars in school and feeling good in order to learn!
