This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fifth grade students are always ready to take on fresh information and learn something new. Most of them are English Language Learners. My favorite part of having students new to the country is how willing they are to learn by always asking questions, wanting to know the world around them in a new language.

In my class, we are always ready to learn in a fun and innovative way while practicing skills in an environment that requires us to get our "creative juices" flowing.

My Project

We are all so excited about getting back into the classroom and finally be face to face. However, there are some concerns for our safety. Due to the pandemic, parents and students have some valid apprehensions about going back to a building that may have poor air quality. Schools are a hard place to keep clean. I want to help keep the classroom clean and assist our students in feeling safer about being in the classroom.

I would like to put the air purifier in the classroom to help capture airborne allergens and viruses.

With this purifier, I can help keep the class environment cleaner and have fewer germs floating around.
