Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a high needs and low-income area. Kindergarten is the first time that many of my students step into a school and a classroom. This is the first time they are learning and making new friends. They come into school excited and eager to learn no matter the challenges that they face everyday.
My Project
Starting in kindergarten can be extremely overwhelming, especially during these tough times. This school year is going to be unlike any other we have experienced. We will be returning to the classroom for the first time since March after learning from home. I want my students to feel safe and comfortable as possible when they come into the classroom!
While having these unknown safety protocols in the school building, I want my classroom to be a safe place for my students to come in and learn.
Having these resources will make sure that we are starting the year off in the safest way possible!
