This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Music is an integral part of a child's education and with your help, we can make sure our students have exposure to quality instruments to help them soar!
My students will be learning to play the clarinet and will understand the basics of performance!
I teach music at a dynamic elementary school where all of our students love to learn and engage in the arts. Our entire school population receives free lunch and many students are unable to afford their own materials, books and instruments.
Luckily, I am at a school that supports the arts, but we depend on donors and other supporters to help with our music program.
My Project
By adding a clarinet to our ensemble, you will be giving our students more choice in choosing instruments and giving our band a brighter sound. The lessons students will learn, such as confidence building, working with a group and self-correcting themselves will help them throughout their future pursuits. The students love to play and many use music to express themselves.
They are experiencing lessons that will be with them for the rest of their lives.
They are learning to read music, understand music theory, and listen to great performers to form their own vision of being a great musician in the future.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
