Welcome to My First Classroom!
As I begin my very first year of teaching, I’m filled with excitement and a deep commitment to creating a classroom where every child feels safe, seen, and celebrated.
This project will help me build a warm, welcoming environment that supports both academic growth and emotional well-being.
The resources I’ve requested will directly support my students’ daily learning experiences:
The classroom rug will serve as the heart of our room—a gathering space for morning meetings, read-alouds, and social-emotional learning lessons. It will help foster a sense of community and routine, especially important for young learners.
The flexible seating stools will be used during small group instruction, allowing students to choose seating that helps them focus and feel comfortable. This supports differentiated learning and encourages independence.
The cleaning supplies will ensure our classroom stays clean and healthy, helping students feel safe and cared for in their learning environment.
These materials will help me create a space where students can grow in confidence, curiosity, and kindness. My goal is to nurture not only their academic skills—like early literacy, phonics, and problem-solving—but also their social-emotional development through collaborative learning and a strong classroom community.
