This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a special education teacher working in a low-income area, there are several obstacles my students face. I want to help and provide my students with the best they need to succeed.
The students in my classroom are students with learning, speech, and emotional disabilities.
If I could describe my students I would say they're creative, funny, and unique. I provide my students with a safe, comfortable, and caring environment where they can be themselves and share their creative minds.
My Project
My class is in need of a classroom printer. My students are able to complete their work such as essays or creating diagrams in our classroom but we do not have a working printer to show copies of their hard work which could be displayed in our classroom. Having a printer in the classroom will also allow my students to have access to notes, graphic organizers, and other versions of handouts.
Because my school has unreliable access to printing and copying services, I am not able to constantly offer class work and home work related handouts to my students.
My students will benefit fron having access to printed materials which serves their needs.
