My Project
Due to COVID 19 my access to resources for my students is limited. I am a first year teacher and I want to be able to create a comfortable space for myself and my students to enjoy while they are learning. With the help from DonorsChoose and Governor Jard Polis, I will have the opportunity to embellish my classroom with the necessary furnishings and supplies.
The area rug and lights will be a great addition to the calming/comfy corner reading nook in my classroom.
The 6 shelf piece will be the perfect place for all six grade levels I teach to turn in their work.
The kinetic sand will be used when the students are learning colors. It's a nice way to incorporate the student's fine motor skills and explore their senses.
With the help from DonorsChoose, I will be able to facilitate a calming corner for my students. Which will be a safe space. I am fortunate to be teaching multilingual students from a number of different cultural backgrounds. I am so excited to learn from them. Thank you for your time and consideration.
