Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Special education is a fun and unique experience with kids who vary in abilities and goals. Because I am an RSP teacher, my students come from different grades and very different backgrounds. All my students have very unique needs that will be met in various ways. Some students will be working on academic goals, while other students are working on behavior goals.
My students are very unique and bring so much personality into my classroom.
Each day is very different from the previous day and will be very different from the next day. Our classroom is like a family that unites all grade levels, where the kids can learn from each other and form bonds that will last a lifetime.
My Project
Reading is the foundation of all learning and I want to provide my students with a wide variety of books. As a first year teacher, I do not have a large selection of books in my classroom library. I am a special education teacher who works with all grade levels (K-6). I would like to stock my library with books for every grade level and reading ability.
By donating to our classroom project, you will be giving my students the opportunity to practice their literacy skills at their reading level.
The books I have selected for our project range between all grade levels and are all accelerated readers. Students will be able to take AR quizzes on these books and move up to higher reading levels.
