My Students
My students are resilient, funny, hard working 3rd graders who are adjusting to our new world in a BEAUTIFUL way. We thankfully have returned to the classroom after 17 long months. They are so AMAZING and love reading and learning.
As we start a new chapter my students need a classroom library that is comfortable, warm, and filled with diverse books that will inspire them to spread kindness!
My Project
All students want to feel comfortable and accepted in their class and schools. These books will be displayed in our classroom library and allow students to widen their perspective on diversity, kindness, and the importance of community. They will also be used as a central part of the lessons I teach in the classroom that will facilitate discussions about community!
Students need to be exposed to books that will allow them to see themselves and know that are important.
Being able to have access to these books will impact how students see themselves and others. Knowledge is truly powerful!
