This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students from West Dallas are in need of economic support. They come from an area that in full of needs. I served a community that is economic disadvantage and about all students receive free or reduce lunch. Many of my parent weren't able to send any school supplies at the beginning of the year.
With it the 1st semester finishing, we have already run out of some essentials.
We need to restock some school supplies. It being the holidays I know parents can't worry about buying school supplies and presents for their kids. I love my students they are caring individuals. They worry about me when I am absent just as I worry about them. I want them to come next semester without worry about school supplies.
My Project
Flu season is here and I want to make sure my students have enough tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes available so they won't get sick.
We also need expo markers to be able to use our white boards and have more interactive lessons.
Also, I have run-out of ink to print all the interactive activities we use from our curriculum. By buying the markers, we are able to make beautiful foldable that we can display outside the classroom. Pencils are a must need items that we seem to be losing every day. We have been continuously replemishing pencils since day one.
