A Class Worth Talking About!

My students need a stimulating class environment that makes learning fun! We need tablecloths, furniture socks and more

My Students

My class is composed of a dynamic group of 5th graders. We come in all colors, shapes, and ability levels and appreciate one another for our differences. My school is a Title 1 school so all of my students are on free or reduced lunch.

Although my students don't come from an affluent background, they are rich in respect to love, tolerance, and happiness.

My students have grown so much from the 1st day they walked into my room. They are eager to learn and teach me a little more about life than I ever thought I could learn from a en year old!

Should you decide to donate to my classroom, I want you to be aware of the impact you are making on the lives of children who have the potential to be great. With your contribution, these students will be able to take on the world and you will play a role in that!

My Project

I want to provide a stimulating class environment that is conducive to the way that I deliver my upbeat instruction. I want my students to go home and rave about how awesome their classroom is. I want to have a collegiate themed classroom that encourages students to work towards their highest educational potential! Most students do not have exposure to the various colleges. I, however, want them to drown in their destiny of being college bound. One of the items that I have requested is a set of privacy boards. Privacy boards are important in the classroom setting because they maintain security of student work in a testing environment. I also have requested chair socks. Chair socks are helpful in a classroom where there are high levels of movement. They help to protect the flooring from being scuffed and scratched when my students rotate from one center to another. I also asked for a heavy duty stapler and a laminating machine so that I can bind and preserve flips books made by my students. In addition, I have requested a stool for my teacher center. Last, but not least, I have requested table covers in the color of royal blue to maintain a lively environment environment. Studies show that visual aesthetics plays a key role in student engagement. I have a college themed classroom to help project my ultimate goal; that all students will have a desire to extend their education beyond high school. As a University of Florida alumni, I tend to represent my school colors throughout the classroom and the students love it! In addition, I also include paraphernalia of several other universities as well. My philosophy is that if they see it, they will believe it! If they believe it, they can achieve it!
