This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There's nothing like falling in love with a book. Help give my students this opportunity.
My students live in a high poverty area in New York.
The class consists of general education and special education students.
They love to write and dance. Students have limited exposure to experiences that excite, motivate and inspire them. With budget cuts in education, they are deprived of basic resources.
My Project
We would like to update our classroom library with exciting books to motivate students to read. With limited budgets and resources our classroom library is outdated and uninviting. Fostering a love of reading is an important aspect of a child's education. I am requesting a variety of books for my students to read.
With your help my students will have a much-needed resource that will make a lasting impact in their education.
