This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative, enthusiastic, and caring! Their curiosity drives our class discussions and they push themselves past their comfort zone to continue to learn in this digital age.
They love to dive in and completely immerse themselves in what we’re learning.
They do most of their classwork and research online and have become proficient in using computers over the past few months. My goal is to put a book in each of their hands even though they can't be with me in the classroom at this time.
They are a wonderful group of 4th and 5th graders!
My Project
I would love to give each of my students a novel to help them learn and practice reading skills. The Little Prince is a classic story that will interest the students and let them explore the "planets" of adulthood.
This novel holds a special place in my heart and teaches them the beauty in holding onto their imagination even as they grow older, and to remember that it's the little things in life that matter.
Please help me teach them to smile at the stars through the lens of the Little Prince.
