Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
ACE stands for A+ Character Everyday. Each week the students in my school are recognized for showing excellent character everyday.
The students at my school attend an inner city school with a high poverty rate.
The students perform well and are well behaved. The school has a history of strong academic performance. My job as the counselor is to stride for the students to also have excellent character.
My Project
I have chosen pencils with inspirational sayings to provide treats for students who are chosen as the ACE student of the week. I think the students will enjoy getting a special treat that is useful and exciting. My goal is to avoid treats that are unhealthy such as candy so I think the pencils will be a nice alternative.
By the end of the school year, each of the 500 students in my school will be chosen as the ACE student of the week.
