My students need Tablets in order to enhance learning in science, mathematics, and technology. Students are really involved in tablets and I believe it can make progress.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom would be going over the new chapters and introducing the content in many different ways. I want my students to be able to overcome any deficiencies they may have. My favorite quote is,"replace negative thought with positive ones and you will have positive results."
My students are all Hispanic and some of them cannot speak English.
I have a combination of ESOL levels from 1-4. I differentiate instruction all the times due to the difference in my students levels. My students besides the language barrier, also have difficulty in understanding the content. I make sure to use manipulative and videos to educate them the best I can. I know that by giving them tablets will make a difference in my teaching and in their progress and success. I teach Math, Spanish, and Science because I do co-teaching with another teacher who teaches the rest of the subjects Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies. My school is an A school and it has been, for the past years. I love working their due to the friendly staff and administration. It is a very supportive and fascinating school.
My Project
My students can use the tablets in a variety of ways. They can do activities that may help them with the English language. My students can download apps that are entertaining and at the same time full of learning. I find students to be attracted to technology and what else better than giving them the opportunity to complete assignments, quizzes, and maybe even exams on a tablet. They will focus more on the instruction and it will make it fun at the time to understand the new lessons. Technology is very essential in today's life and in order for students to learn, they have to be entertained. You tube education is a great source for students to view, it consists of many videos that teach them almost anything.
The donations to this project will improve my classroom because it will facilitate my students needs, make them entertained and at the same time learning.
My students love and enjoy anything that deals with technology. Some of my students do not have computers and by giving them this opportunity I am sure they will appreciate it. By using these tablets my students lives will be changed in a positive way since each tablet can help the students needs at different levels. It can give them practice.
