A Chance To GROW Is A Chance To KNOW

Help me give my students the experience of getting our hands dirty by planting milkweed seeds! The supplies consist of everything we would need to welcome pollinators to our school! Let's save the Monarch Butterflies!!

My Project

This year I have welcomed 20 very special and unique learners into my class! They each are seeking to know more about the world around them. They are curious, and their curiosity is contagious.

I would love to allow my students to grow their knowledge of the endangered species, the Monarch Butterfly.

This project will help students learn how to plant and visibly see the life cycle of a butterfly. We will be learning how to save a very precious animal. The students will also see firsthand how the process of pollinating works..(which is a SC standard for second grade!!) The students will gain a sense of responsibility in taking care of the butterfly garden.

This project will allow students to learn a new skill many of them may never learn at home. Learning is so much more than textbooks, it is about the experience we give students.
