Having access to a calm-down corner is an asset to any classroom. It will be a designated space where my students can feel safe to feel and express all the emotions they feel. The calm-down corner will help them to regain control independently. I would like to fill my calm down corner with materials such as a bean bag, pillows, bean bag chair, and strategies to help a child find their calm.
Having access to these calm-down corner resources will provide my students with all that they need to calm down, recollect themselves, and return to learning with the rest of the class!
