This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To help support my student's social-emotional learning and growth I would like to refresh our counseling space and create a sensory calming space where students can slow down, be in the moment and have healthy outlets for stress.

Each student is different; some find comfort building with bright magnetic tiles, others find sensory tools calming and some like to decompress through imaginative play!

These resources will help students build concentration and confidence while improving their emotional regulation. Using relaxation techniques during our counseling sessions will help our students manage stress.
