A Calming Corner to Support Our Fourth Graders' Well-Being

My Project
In our classroom, we work hard to grow both academically and emotionally. As students begin to manage more complex tasks and emotions, they must have a peaceful place to take a break, reset, and return ready to learn.
This project will help us create a calming corner—a quiet, welcoming space where students can go when they feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or simply need a moment to themselves.
We’re requesting a soft, plush rug and a large bean bag to make the space cozy and comfortable. A tabletop fountain will add a gentle, soothing sound to promote relaxation, and calming corner posters will guide students through simple strategies for managing emotions and practicing mindfulness.
With your support, this calming corner will become a safe space that helps students feel seen, supported, and ready to face the challenges of the school day with confidence and calm.
