My Project
The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students already have a “home” in my counseling office. As the school counselor for over 400 students, I see many children every day who need a safe, calm place to reset, reflect, and regulate their emotions. These resources will help transform our space into a more welcoming and supportive environment where students can truly feel comfortable and cared for.
The Play-Doh and sensory cloud clay will be used as calming tools during individual sessions and in our designated "calm corner"—they offer students a hands-on way to manage stress, express emotions, and stay grounded.
The two criss-cross chairs will create a cozy, student-friendly seating option for those who come in for check-ins or need a break during a tough day. The bulletin board paper and mounting tape will allow me to create positive visual reminders, coping strategies, and affirmations that brighten the space and reinforce social-emotional learning.
The donations to this project will help create a calming zone where students can take a breath, find their balance, and return to class ready to learn and grow. With your support, I can provide a space that helps every student feel seen, supported, and safe.
